In case you cannot connect your printer to the Keenetic router Wi-Fi network using the WPS quick setup button, you can use the WPS PIN code, which is available on many printers equipped with a Wi-Fi adapter. The configuration, in this case, will have to be done through the command-line interface (CLI) of the Keenetic router, as it is not possible to specify the PIN code of the remote host in the web interface. In the Keenetic web interface, in the wireless settings, you can only enable and view the router PIN.
So, connect to the Keenetic router's command-line interface (CLI) to configure.
1. Run the command (just copy it, paste it into the command prompt, and press Enter):
interface WifiMaster0/AccessPoint0
2. Press the WPS button on the printer.
3. Then execute the command:
wps peer send 12345678
Instead of 12345678, enter the PIN code of the printer.
This command must be executed within two minutes after pressing the WPS button on
the printer. In the router settings, 'Allow WPS' and 'WPS PIN' must be ticked.
4. Wait a few minutes while the devices negotiate the wireless network settings.
TIP: Tip: Check that the 'Standard' field in the wireless settings is set to 802.11bgn. On some printers, the initial connection to the router's Wi-Fi network can only be made in this mode. Once connected, you can set the printer to 802.11n.
